I’ve had the chance to drive the MAN TGE 4x4 modified with tracks. It’s pretty solid on snowy and rugged terrains. However, the setup isn’t meant for regular roads, which limits its use slightly.

Short take from someone who works with vans: cargo volume up to 18.4 m3 is useful, and the multiple lengths and roof heights mean you can spec it properly for the job. The engine line is wide - 102 to 177 hp - but that 102 hp version will feel weak when fully loaded, so choose power with your load in mind. Transmission choices are good, 8-speed auto is handy in city runs. They say operating and service costs are low, which matters for fleet owners. Safety system EBA is standard, ACC only as option - mixed feeling about that. Not perfect, but practical for real work.

The MAN TGE offers a solid performance. The turbo diesel delivers decent power, especially with the higher output versions. The auto transmission is smooth, making city drives less stressful. Although the tech features are nice, some could feel they’re paying extra for things they won’t use daily. Overall, it handles well and feels reliable.

Having tested out the MAN TGE recently, I appreciate its practical features like the optional underseat storage and handy socket outlets. The adaptive cruise control is a significant aid during motorway drives. That said, the roof height might pose challenges in compact urban areas. Overall, it’s a well-thought-out van tailored for versatile usage.

Been using the TGE Lion S for a couple months now, mostly for site work around town and the odd countryside job. The interior is a step up from what I'm used to, leather seats and the armrest actually make a difference if you're in and out of the van all day. Suspension's smoother than expected, didn’t expect a van this size to handle bumps so well, even with an empty load bay. Infotainment is a bit fiddly at first but the big screen keeps you from messing with your phone, which I guess is good. Only gripe is the price. Feels just a touch high compared to others in this class, but you do get a bit more for your money. Service intervals look reasonable so far but too soon to say about long-term costs. All in, comfort is spot on. If you care about how you spend your working day stuck in traffic or rolling between jobs, it actually matters.

I’ve driven the MAN TGE for a few weeks now and my impressions are mixed. The vehicle is certainly spacious; the interior height options provide flexibility for different cargo types. However, I found the interior build quality a bit lacking compared to some premium competitors. Driving it feels smooth, and the gear changes are precise, which is a big bonus during long hauls.

Been driving light trucks for over a decade, used a MAN TGE a few months on local runs. Cabin is tidy and practical, everything you need is within reach. Seat adjusts in 7 ways, air suspension and seat heater on my spec made long shifts easier. Visibility is good, big instruments help at night. Only gripe: pedals sit close together - I'm 190 cm and my feet felt cramped sometimes. Engines are the familiar 2.0 turbo diesels (102/140/177 hp) paired with 6MT or 8-speed auto, they pull fine and meet Euro-6. Price is steep compared to other vans, but the truck feels solid and reliable for daily work.

Tested one of these TGE vans on a mountain route. Driving up and down those hills really shows if a van can handle its business. Good engine pull, lots of payload options. I liked the safety stuff, especially the emergency brake assist and the big mirrors-gave solid confidence in weird traffic. Had a weird experience with the navigation system, though. It sent me off course a couple times, not sure if it's a software thing or just maps out of date. Not the end of the world when you know the area, but on new routes it would annoy me. The shelves on the dash look cool but stuff slides around on turns, not super practical for drivers-ended up with my snack bar on the floor half the time. Anyway, it rolls nice, rides better than some older vans I worked, but the layout of the cabin still could be tweaked a bit. I'd use it again, for sure, but with my phone nav.

Used the MAN TGE for several assignments, and there’s both good and room-for-improvement aspects. The exterior design is visually appealing, and the flexibility in size options fits diverse needs. For driving, visibility from the cabin is commendable, and the extra sliding door option adds real convenience. The infotainment system, though functional, feels slightly outdated compared to market standards. That said, the build quality inspires confidence, and the vehicle’s handling is reliable.

Short one from a driver who likes straightforward kit. Interior is tidy - 10.4in is standard, 12.9in on higher trims, Keyless Go, tyre pressure monitor, parking assist and wireless mirroring all handy. Centre seat space and storage are proper useful for site work. Downsides: launch mix is weird - only front-wheel-drive at first and they dropped the 102hp entry engine, so if you need AWD or a heavier GVW you wait until later. Also no eTGE any time soon (they’re talking 2028), so electric buyers should look elsewhere for now. Little touches like the automatic handbrake and good infotainment make the day easier, but the rollout timing leaves me with mixed feelings.
